Welcome to the Isle of Wight offices of UK Liquidators, where we have a team of insolvency, business recovery and liquidation specialists working closely in support of directors from across a wide range of different industry sectors.

UK Liquidators has offices across all parts of the UK, including along the South Coast in Portsmouth, Southampton, Brighton and Eastleigh. We are able to offer FREE and confidential initial consultations at our office near Newport on the Isle of Wight and to provide clear guidance to anyone in need of support relating to company liquidation or insolvency scenarios.

At UK Liquidators we understand just how difficult it can be for directors to be responsible for leading a company at moments of serious financial difficulty. Our services are always geared towards the provision of actionable advice and giving company directors confidence in every decision they make.

If it is possible for a company to be rescued and recovered then we have all the expertise required to help make that happen. However, if insolvency is unavoidable and liquidation becomes necessary then we are exceptionally well-placed to offer all the support and information that you might need.

Most liquidation scenarios involve compulsory liquidation and typically arise after a business is in receipt of a winding up order. A compulsory liquidation makes necessary an investigation by the Official Receiver, which can subsequently create difficulties for directors and is generally a situation best avoided. An alternative option is to enter a Creditors’ Volutnary Liquidation (CVL) which requires directors to take control of their circumstances and voluntarily enter their company into liquidation. Solvent companies can be entered into liquidation via Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL).

Regardless of the precise nature of your circumstances, if you need advice on entering liquidation or avoiding insolvency then UK Liquidators can help. Contact our Isle of Wight offices anytime to arrange a FREE initial consultation.

Our family-run construction firm had enjoyed a good run since the 1980s but with margins squeezed tighter than ever before and a saturated marketplace, we began to struggle. We also had a key supplier that went bust leaving us with major problems. We decided we needed to liquidate as cash flow was steadily decreasing and creditors were chasing. UKLiquidators handled the CVL and enabled us to write off our debts. They also referred me to a company that would investigate my claim for director redundancy and I was surprised to learn I was eligible for £14,500 which was paid to me within several weeks.

I am the MD of three separate companies within a subsidiary but one business was dragging the other two down. I needed to work out the most tax-efficient way of closing the struggling company but due to the complex nature of our company structure, our accountant was unable to advise. Thankfully, UKLiquidators took control of the situation and we were delighted with the outcome. They allowed me to pay for the liquidation upon completion as I was awaiting a significant director redundancy payment which both my wife and I were due as managing directors. If it wasn't for UKLiquidators, I wouldn't even have known about director redundancy and they pointed me in the right direction.
