Welcome to UK Liquidators – the foremost provider of advice and support to company directors whose businesses could be facing insolvency or liquidation.

We advise directors right across the country on issues relating to all forms of liquidation and corporate insolvency, as well as business rescue and recovery. The depth of our expertise is unrivalled in the UK because we’re able to draw on a huge wealth of experience in our field across a 70-strong network of offices.

UK Liquidators has a particularly strong presence in the North West of England and we provide much-needed guidance to company directors based in all parts of the Wirral and on Merseyside. If you’re based in the Wirral or anywhere nearby then you can contact any of our local offices to arrange a FREE initial consultation any time.

Our initial consultations are always about finding out the fundamentals of the situation a new client is in and we aim to provide the clearest possible guidance right away. Even in the most difficult of situations, there are options available and we can help you choose the right one.

The most common form of liquidation in the UK is compulsory liquidation. As its name suggests, compulsory liquidation happens when a company has no choice in the matter and is entered into liquidation by force of law. These scenarios are relatively common but they are best avoided if possible, not least because they necessitate investigations by the Official Receiver.

A better option from a director’s perspective is to take your company into liquidation without having to be forced to do so through mechanisms such as Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidations (CVLs). We have all the expertise you could ever need on any liquidation process, including Members’ Voluntary Liquidations (MVLs), which are generally used to liquidate solvent businesses.

Your nearest UK Liquidators office, if you’re based in the Wirral, will be in Liverpool but we also have offices in Chester, Warrington and Manchester. Call any time to arrange an initial consultation.

Our family-run construction firm had enjoyed a good run since the 1980s but with margins squeezed tighter than ever before and a saturated marketplace, we began to struggle. We also had a key supplier that went bust leaving us with major problems. We decided we needed to liquidate as cash flow was steadily decreasing and creditors were chasing. UKLiquidators handled the CVL and enabled us to write off our debts. They also referred me to a company that would investigate my claim for director redundancy and I was surprised to learn I was eligible for £14,500 which was paid to me within several weeks.

I am the MD of three separate companies within a subsidiary but one business was dragging the other two down. I needed to work out the most tax-efficient way of closing the struggling company but due to the complex nature of our company structure, our accountant was unable to advise. Thankfully, UKLiquidators took control of the situation and we were delighted with the outcome. They allowed me to pay for the liquidation upon completion as I was awaiting a significant director redundancy payment which both my wife and I were due as managing directors. If it wasn't for UKLiquidators, I wouldn't even have known about director redundancy and they pointed me in the right direction.
