We understand that taking the first step to seek advice can be challenging which is why our expert team will guide you throughout each step of the process. Commencing with an assessment of your company, the UK Liquidators Barnet team will present a clear image of your company finances. If your business is viable and can be rescued following guidance from a business turnaround expert, the UK Liquidators team may recommend a restructuring solution. If your company is cash poor and represents limited asset value, you may need to pursue a voluntary liquidation procedure before being pushed into compulsory liquidation.
A Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation is a company liquidation procedure which can be entered voluntarily following agreement from the company director(s). During a CVL, your business will be protected against legal action, giving you the breathing space required to arrive at a solution. A Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation consists of raising funds for creditors through the sale of company assets under the guidance of a licensed insolvency practitioner. Once outstanding affairs with creditors are settled, your business will be closed.
If you wish to close your profitable business to facilitate an exit, a Members’ Voluntary Liquidation may provide the ideal pathway. This route is only available for companies with a substantial amount of remained profits for it to be efficient due to the cost of the process. An MVL allows for profits to be extracted cost-efficiently and distributed to shareholders. Following the completion of the liquidation process, the business will be removed from the Companies House register.
