Welcome to the Bournemouth office of UK Liquidators. We have a team of highly experienced liquidators, licensed insolvency practitioners and business rescue experts who provide guidance and support to company directors.

If you are a company director whose business is dealing with debt or more general financial problems then we can help. We work closely with directors from across the South West of England and across the South Coast and we can draw on a very substantial wealth of relevant expertise.

Where there is scope for a turnaround, our specialists can work with you to find a viable route forward towards recovery for your business. But if insolvency does become unavoidable then we can assist you in understanding all you need to know about the potential options available.

You can contact our Bournemouth office directly to arrange a free consultation to open up discussions about your options and to get to the root of the financial issues your company is facing. Where liquidation becomes preferable or necessary, we can support you throughout the relevant processes.

UK Liquidators also has further offices in the South West region which are located in BathBristol, Cheltenham, Exeter, Oxford, Salisbury, Swindon and Taunton  which you may find more convenient.

It is very important to understand the distinctions between different forms of liquidation whatever your circumstances might be. The most common form of liquidation comes about as the result of a winding up petition and is referred to as being a Compulsory Liquidation. But there are other forms of the process known respectively as Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation (CVL) and Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL). A CVL involves company directors voluntary taking their businesses into liquidation, which will usually be preferable to compulsory liquidation, and an MVL, which is a best practice process designed for situations in which solvent companies are being entered into liquidation.

Our family-run construction firm had enjoyed a good run since the 1980s but with margins squeezed tighter than ever before and a saturated marketplace, we began to struggle. We also had a key supplier that went bust leaving us with major problems. We decided we needed to liquidate as cash flow was steadily decreasing and creditors were chasing. UKLiquidators handled the CVL and enabled us to write off our debts. They also referred me to a company that would investigate my claim for director redundancy and I was surprised to learn I was eligible for £14,500 which was paid to me within several weeks.

I am the MD of three separate companies within a subsidiary but one business was dragging the other two down. I needed to work out the most tax-efficient way of closing the struggling company but due to the complex nature of our company structure, our accountant was unable to advise. Thankfully, UKLiquidators took control of the situation and we were delighted with the outcome. They allowed me to pay for the liquidation upon completion as I was awaiting a significant director redundancy payment which both my wife and I were due as managing directors. If it wasn't for UKLiquidators, I wouldn't even have known about director redundancy and they pointed me in the right direction.
