We can help assist if your business has received a winding up petition for compulsory liquidation from a creditor.  After failed attempts to recover money, a creditor may apply for a winding up petition against your company to make you repay outstanding debts. In the event of compulsory liquidation, we can explore your business rescue options, including a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation (CVL). Following agreement from directors, company assets will be liquidated and creditors repaid during a CVL. Once the liquidation process is complete, the company will be struck off the Companies House register.

If your business is solvent and you would like to voluntarily wind up your company, we can explore a Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) which will allow you to close your business in a tax efficient manner. This is typically used by company directors if the business has reached its natural end or directors have approached retirement.
