Liquidation processes can vary notably and in important ways from case to case, with compulsory liquidation resulting from winding up orders generally the most commonplace. This is not the case though if a company’s directors take their business into liquidation voluntarily through a process known as a Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation (CVL).
On the other hand, if you are considering how best to liquidate a solvent business then a Members’ Voluntary Liquidation (MVL) could be the right avenue.
